Colorado Association of Dog Daycares was founded to provide information and guidance for new and existing Colorado Dog Daycares. While encouraging the pursuit of excellence by our members through honest effort, fair play and personal integrity, we will provide appropriate information and resources necessary to promote dog daycares as a viable and safe industry in Colorado. Alternately this website is to help potential clients find the best facility for their needs.
Here is a short movie about how dog daycares operate. (Click the triangle on the screen to start the movie.)
CADD is working hand in hand with the department of Agriculture and our PACFA Representative Doug Johnson to obtain a seat on the PACFA advisory committee. We feel that with the number of facilities now offering daycare programs it would be beneficial to have the knowledge and experience of a daycare operator serving on the comittee. We have had multiple meetings and presentations to this end and hope to be successful by 2010. If you would like to volunteer please contact Cristal at milehighmutts@aol.com.
The CADD board has also appointed a subcommittee to work on putting together behavioral standards for CADD members. The subcommittee that worked on this project has come up with the following recommendations based on the belief that the primary reason for having behavioral standards is for the safety of the staff and other dogs:
The subcommittee is planning to host round table discussions at the winter social event (currently scheduled for January 2009) to work through these recommendations with the other members of CADD. In the meantime if anyone has any comments on these items please contact Judy Gee at doggiepause@comcast.net or Nicole Delmoro at nicole@citybark.com.

Look for CADD at the annual Furry Scurry event. We will be there handing out flyers and answering questions on what a customer can expect from daycare. We also provide a list of all current members and their locations to assist potential customers in finding the facility that best meets their needs.
Monica Hazelwood will be presenting her first aid seminar once again in 2009. This was a very well attended event in 2008 and the feedback was very positive from all who attended. Once a date has been set we will update it on the website and send an email out to all members.
We have several other events and seminars planned for the 2009 year and will keep you posted.
